Re: How about an elephant ride?
Wow--this would be an awesome experience. I never even thought about seeking this out. I will look into this. I think that this life experience would definitely be worth the price.

Re: Balance between work and home
Finding this balance, especially as a teacher, is one of the toughest challenges of our profession. I take my work home with me almost every night, especially when there a lot of papers and materials to grade. Also, prepping lessons and making long term lesson plans takes up tons of time as well. To...

Re: Pampered Foreigners and Ridiculous Complaints
I honestly have little sympathy for those who look down or belittle others because of their financial status or where they are from. That comedy sounds like a good does of karma for the boy. The complaint about the food one really is shallow, if you don't like then don't eat it. I totally agree wit...

Re: Best Teaching Experience
My best experience was going into family homes and teaching "conversation classes" to their children. The families would feed me, and then many kids from the neighborhood would come over, and I would teach them in a circle in the comfort of a nice home. Afterwards, the kids would disperse ...

Re: Personal safety in Thailand
I would also like to add here that Thailand seems to me to be one of the safest countries I have ever travelled through. I recently got back from New York City, and the racial riots and turmoil going on right now in America is very disturbing. There is a lot of tension and violence here right now. T...

Re: Main attractions of Thailand
I am curious as to what are the best geological attractions to see in Thailand. I want to travel the country, so what are some of the most incredible places to see in terms of topography and landscape? I want to really explore, when I have time off, and get a feel of how different the country is fro...

Re: Why Should I Travel to Thailand?
I've only been to Asia a few times, and mainly to Japan, but even there I heard talk of how unique and amazing Thailand is in terms of scenery, the people, the food, and the overall culture. The night life there is also legendary; although, I am getting a bit too old for all of that.
