I don't know much about hotels in Thailand, but when I travel I always use Trip Advisor, an excellent page where you can compare by any circumstances (by price, place, etc) all the hotels in the specified area, I always find the best one and have a great time without knowing the hotels in the countr...

I've never been in Thailand, but I'm very interested in visit the country, so I haven't done any of these things, but definitely if one day I'd go to Thailand I'd love to go to The Grand Palace, ride a big elephant, go to festivals and with no doubt go shopping everyday and everywhere.
