Re: Peer Pressure

I personally think that peer pressure can not be avoided if you are in certain groups. It will exist as long as you are social person. The key thing is to not give in to necessarily. We need to respect the opinions of others and compare with our own thoughts. Peer pressure is not necessarily a negat...

Re: Which are the Top Educational Institutes in Thailand ?

Hello guys! I am a portuguese language teacher. I am thinking about going to Thailand working for a year or two. Which institutes do you think I could contact before going there? Hi, goldlady. If you are looking to teach Portuguese, I suggest you to e-mail public universities and enquire whether th...

Re: Rainy day? Don't worry!

It's nice to take naps on rainy days in Thailand. I love to go for steamboat dinners when it rains. Having some hot spicy Tom Yam soup does make my body warm and comfortable. Steamboat sessions usually last around 3-4 hours for me when I go out with my friends or family.

Re: Goods and Services Tax (GST)

As overcast mentioned, introduction of GST is inevitable. However, I think the implementation can be accompanied by subsidies given by governments to make it less painful for the people. As I have mentioned, the impact goes through all industries. Yet, the private sector does not make adjustments to...

Re: How to deal with bullies

In the past, I encountered multiple bullies who tried to exert their dominance over me. I think it's necessary to have friends in class.I did not fight back but I confronted the bully with my friends and we asked him why he was behaving in that manner. Well, it appears that the bully was actually do...

Re: smart ways to deal with rude people!

The tips are pretty useful. However, my approach is similar to that as mentioned by Dracostar1. I will ignore the rude person and excuse myself. I find it important not to waste time talking to a rude person as further conversation may lead to an argument. It is necessary not to lose composure when ...

Re: Am I a Troll?

We can expect to find many 'Trolls' on the Internet. Despite the long post, I think it's a good reminder for people to monitor their own online social behaviour. Remember this line , 'what you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others'. It is also essential for us not to get triggered by tro...

Re: 5 Thai drinks you must try!

Thanks for sharing such interesting drinks. As someone who has been to Thailand quite frequently, I would say my favorite drink from the list is Cha Yen. The reason for me stating so would be because I'm a fan of tea drinks. There’s two variants of cha yen, namely the original and the pulled cha yen...
