Re: Are clothes expensive in Thailand?

So they too raise the price when they see that you are a foreigner. Well, that happens here too in the Philippines. But if you know our language, you can haggle with the things being sold and get the goods for a cheaper price than what they have quoted to you. The locals would think that being a fo...

Re: Differences between Thailand and USA

I totally agree with you, in the US they try to make everything look like some big case. They usually care so much about small things that they'll lose sight of the bigger problem. You can have fun in a lot of ways because you have much more freedom, the law won't always be after you. Don't get me ...

Re: What do you think it's the hardest thing about moving to another country?

There are lot of challenges. For example adjusting to the food and weather being the one at the top. You have to adjust with the change of the language. And the way people work and behave. That seems to be the case with moving to another country. If you don't like beach then you may end up having so...

Re: Differences between Thailand and USA

US is more paranoid compared to Thailand. For example playing with kids in Park can lead to the potential case on your if parents complain. In case of thailand you can play with kids say football and any other game. You don't have much paranoia and legal cases just for looking at people. On that poi...

Re: Homework

I think homework is definitely necessary for the growth of students. So you are not annoying teacher. In fact you are doing it for the benefit of the students. I personally do keep the test every month or so to test the ability of the students on topic. And homework on weekly basis is a must for me....

Re: Do you use any online educational portal with your students?

We have recently moved to the Google Classroom App. This seems to be a good option for tracking the student progress. We usually use it to notify the parents. And also there seems to be one app that helps with the grading and the progress. So that's one feature we wanted. You can also set homework a...

Re: Why Should I Travel to Thailand?

Like any other Asian country, you have some specific things you won't find anywhere else. Night life is lot better in Thailand. The food is pretty much light and won't cause any health issues. You can also find lot cheaper places to stay. You may also find some good clothing. People here are friendl...

Re: Night life for tourists

Some city areas are safe for tourists. But some are not so safe. And if possible bring some guide or the local person with you. As they can navigate your way around. If you are planning to stay in some specific place for say 1 year or longer time. Then the best thing you can do is socialize. And if y...

Re: Thai Meals and total cost per day?

Street food for 3 times meals can go under 20$ a day. And depending on how you want food, it may add up on transportation cost.So I usually check for around 15$ or so for the cost. In some cases the cost of the food increases if you are in specific hotels or the food chains. I have seen that some fo...

Re: Street market is a haven for shoppers

Clothing and food market is definitely worth going into. I think lot of street hawkers are selling corn and other food types. Though not a lot of foreigners find it healthy. But street food can be good. You just have to find out how much you are comfortable and immune to eating out. I have found tha...
