Ask me Thailand

I am seriously considering transferring to a Thai university to conclude my studies. Problem is, I have never been to Thailand, despite that I heard several good things about the country, nor any other country in South East Asia. What are the steps I must take to get a study visa to Thailand, and are they any easy?

I really don't have any idea the processes of going about such. I've never been to thailand too but am seriously considering traveling there soon, not for school reasons though, am thinking of going on a vacation.
